Abstract:

The RISE project is unique in its content, approaches and partnership. It is based on interdisciplinary theory and practice where interdisciplinary approach gives the possibility to draw knowledge from other fields that are defined by the project partners and elaborated into the project goals and planned outcomes. Supporting blended learning belongs to top prioritiesof Erasmus KA2 call for 2025. The motivation to write the project is the fact that sustainable development (SD) topics including STEM agenda were adopted at various levels and by different sectors in European countries, but they have not been sufficiently adopted and reflected in the higher education (HE) curricula for humanities, social sciences and management. The process of improvement and modernisation of tertiary education is seen as crucial and the main emphasise is put on competencies relevant in the practice including very important tasks connected with digital the development of new forms of teaching learning modules; using new technologies and AI in education. As required by European strategies for Erasmus project priorities RISE project focuses on implementation of principles of sustainable education using digital trends, issues of using AI and tools of modern education. The main aim is to stimulate innovative learning and teaching practice using contend based hybrid and blended learning. Results of project are transferable, reusable, accessible for teachers and students from diverse background through project website and internet platforms. These are reasons why the RISE project should be funded. competencies, using AI and collaboration with local actors. The contemporary state of implementing of SD agenda in the HE of all four participating countries meets with very similar issues and obstacles. Usually technical and sciences faculties of HE are involved in SD and STEM research and education activities, but it is very important to support SD curriculum, engaging of local actors and entrepreneurs in the field of humanities including the digital education agenda and especially AI. Project gives an answer on how the humanities and social sciences can become important for the implementation of quality education, providing HE students and teachers with the required competencies. The reality in practice in all four countries is that HE teachers and students in humanities have limited knowledge of SD agenda and environmental issues.
